Applications:

Structural elements
Plates, tubes, and profiles, securing fixtures like screws, nuts, bolts, pins and more: SIGRABOND standard products are available at short notice.

Further, building on a vast experience in 2-D and 3-D computer-aided design, we support you in engineering specific high-temperature equipment.

Furnace Heating Elements
The high thermal stability of our Carbon/Carbon allows SIGRABOND heating elements to be used in vacuum and inert gas furnaces up to temperatures of 2700°C (4900°F).

Glass Manufacturing
Channeling systems, molds and various kinds of further contact elements - with SIGRABOND Carbon/Carbon components, major improvements in performance, quality and efficiency of glass manufacturing processes become realistic.

Chemical Process Technology
Corrugated Carbon/Carbon packings made of
SIGRABOND grades with large open surfaces are highly effective in separating corrosive substances in distillation-rectification plants.
Lightweight designs with SIGRABOND render other column internels strong and durable.

Electronic Applications
Due to this materials high mechanical strength, thin-walled components are possible, e.g. CZ susceptors and insulation tubes, which offer advantages in terms of reduced space requirements and low thermal mass, as well as long service lives. Complex shape assemblies can be produced. Hybrid crystal pulling assemblies (combined constructions of SIGRABOND and graphite products) and carrier systems for solar cell production are a specialty of SGL Carbon.
